Day 3 (March 17th)

Today was another touristy day. We started today at about 6:00am and had toast, cereal, tea and orange juice for breakfast. We got ourselves ready and our host mom gave us some snacks to take with us before driving us back to our meeting point. From there we got on the bus which took us towards Leeds castle but there was no traffic so we were super early. We stopped at a shopping center for a bit to avoid waiting on the bus for the castle to open and then drove the rest of the way to the castle. It was really beautiful and it was a self guided kind of walk through.

After that we got some lunch at a cafe and drive to Canterbury to do the Canterbury tales tour. It was one of those tours where you have a little remote that talks to you as you walk through but it wasn’t history it was these random stories. A little weird but kinda fun. Next we got some chips (in a paper cone!) and then hung around for a bit until we went to the Canterbury cathedral. It was also super gorgeous and we wandered around for the better part of 2 hours.

After that we went back to our host families and we had spaghetti with a meat and vegetable sauce and garlic bread for dinner. Then the Laurens and i did facials and got ready for bed. We saw some really beautiful buildings today and we were actually awake enough to appreciate them. Tomorrow will be a band day and we will have our first performance so I guess we’ll see how that goes.
